Leveraging our relevant experience dating to the beginning of building-focused energy efficiency programs in the US, SEG has periodically engaged in energy efficiency research and development projects. These include energy code research efforts, strategic advising on efficiency program development and content, and development of analysis tools and resources.
SEG uses a systematic approach to energy auditing where we characterize the existing building energy use with the goal of identifying relevant energy efficiency improvements. The goal of these improvements is to reduce overall energy use and operating costs while improving the thermal comfort to the occupants.
