Driving value in your industry with clean energy solutions.
- Where does the name Solarc come from?
SOL-ARC (Pronounced SOLE ARC): Initially, Solarc came from the merging of “Solar Architecture.” But as the idea evolved, the word “arc” began to mean something different referring to the arc of future environmentally responsible integrated design of buildings. This is design thinking that is at its core responsive to the sun.
- Are we a Solar PV contractor?
No. We specialize in reduction of energy use, not production of energy. However our team of engineers and energy analysts can help guide design teams and owners early in the design process to make well informed decisions on renewable energy production.
- What is Building Optimization?
Existing building optimization, also known as re-commissioning or retro-commissioning (ReCx), is the process of optimizing your building operations. The intent is to tune and repair mechanical and electrical systems, so they operate as effectively as possible resulting in energy savings and occupant comfort improvement. The issues a building optimization study can find may not be readily noticeable, but they can easily drive up energy use and costs. Performing a building optimization study should not only result in significant energy savings, but should also improve occupant comfort. What they're saying about us.
They were an incredible asset on our project, helping to puzzle through some tricky mechanical design issues, and their staff continues to help us resolve questions as they arise. SOLARC's reputation as among the best green mechanical and electrical engineers in the nation is well-deserved.
